ANNUAL BRANCH REPORT (presented to the AGM 2011)
by Shirley P Watts, Chair, East Anglia Branch
Welcome to all those who belong to the E. Anglia Branch of ACAMH.

Ingrid King, the Executive Director wonderful report for the ACAMH AGM incorporating all the branches and I do not intend to repeat its content and you can read all about the "trials and tribulations we have experienced in this area during the last year.

I do want to thank all the Committee for their support and it is regret that I have to report that Brian Osman who has been a committee member for a long time has resigned and we wish him all the best for the future. . Members of the Committee have experienced illness and all are finding it difficult to get the time off for Conferences. This applies to everyone with the financial situation and of course makes the Committees task more difficult when it comes to arranging conferences.
Yes, we would be pleased to hear of any persons who would come on the Committee. Have you considered it?
We meet every three to four months at the Angel Hotel at Bury St Edmunds. We hold our meeting and at the conclusion have a meal at the Hotel.

Looking ahead we have 3 Study Days/conferences arranged. The first is "Anxiety Disorders in Children and Adolescents" to be held in June 2011 in Peterborough. Professor Tom Sexton will be in London leading a Master Class and has agreed to come to Cambridge for a half day and this will be held at Girton College. Finally for 2012 we are intending to hold a joint conference with the Suffolk Children's Trust at Ipswich on the subject of Adolescent Mental Health

Finally would like to thank all the staff at ACAMH in London for all the help they give and particularly Karyn Ambridge who is our Branch Administrator .for their generosity in time.
